Our Purpose:
Save the Potomac.org -- is a web-based, public interest program               
designed to bring the news, events, and action items to people who want to do more             
to help protect and preserve the natural, scenic and historic wonders of the Potomac              
River.  This site contains:

* Recent news about threats to the Potomac River

* Practical things you can do to help the Potomac River

* Links to organizations and agencies important to the future of
the Potomac

Who We Are: Save the Potomac.org is made up of concerned citizens like you                  
who want the Potomac to get a fair shake by decision-makers and who want our                     
children to be able to enjoy this great River and its watershed.  We are committed to               
serving as an honest, clear and direct voice for the Potomac and its superlative                        
qualities.  




















Our Program: Save the Potomac.org is an on-line information service that carries            
current news and background information on the full range of threats to the Potomac              
River. We believe that individuals living in the region can with, information tools, do                 
more to speak up for the River.  

Join our free weekly Potomac River news email list!  
We research news and events of importance to the River and update it three times a week.  
In mid-week we will send you an-email with the latest information and links.  We closely
control the list and will not share it with anyone!  You may also be de-listed at any time by
just dropping us a note.
